As a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician with CPS Solutions, LLC, you will work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to ensure the safe and effective delivery of medication services. In this role, you will collaborate with pharmacists and clinical teams to prepare medications accurately, process orders promptly, and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards-contributing to high-quality patient care in a behavioral health setting.

Pharmacy Location: Located at Friends Hospital in Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: This is a per diem, as needed position. Coverage needs may include occasional Friday evening shifts (2:00 PM-7:00 PM) and weekend shifts (7:30 AM-1:30 PM), primarily to support staffing gaps and cover employee PTO.

Founded in 1813, Friends Hospital is the oldest private psychiatric hospital in the nation and offers a full continuum of care, including a 24/7 Crisis Response Center, specialized inpatient units, and treatment for co occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Situated on a scenic 100 acre wooded campus, the facility provides a calm, therapeutic environment that supports healing and recovery. With a strong recovery oriented philosophy and evidence based, individualized treatment approaches, Friends Hospital is a longstanding and trusted provider of compassionate, high quality behavioral health care in the Philadelphia region.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of medications in an inpatient behavioral health setting
  • Process and enter medication orders into pharmacy systems accurately and in a timely manner
  • Fill newly printed prescriptions and prepare medications for distribution to patient care units
  • Deliver medications and supply boxes to units as needed, including safely lifting items weighing 25+ lbs
  • Assist with medication inventory management, including stocking and tracking supplies
  • Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies
  • Follow established safety procedures and regulatory requirements to support patient care and compliance

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license in good standing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with medical terminology

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.15 to $28.80 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
