Summary:

Under supervision, perform duties of decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments for the OR and other hospital departments Type of Opportunity: Full time Job Exempt: No Job is based: Plains Regional Medical Center Work Shift: Varied Days and Hours (United States of America)

Responsibilities:

  • Decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of OR surgical instruments.

  • Decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instrument sets, trays equipment, and machinery for various other departments.

  • Assemble, package and sterilize specialty linen sets for OR.

  • Assemble, package and sterilize specialty linen as requested by various departments.

  • Monitor and maintain standards of sterilization as recommended by JCAHO

Qualifications:

High school or equivalent.

Previous hospital experience preferred but not mandatory. Will be trained and in-service on the safe operation and use of department machinery.
