Short Description

The Vice President of Advancement will provide leadership, direction, and efficient coordination with the Foundation team to increase the donor pipeline and meet fundraising goals. The VP of Advancement is responsible for cultivating and advancing high-impact external relationships that expand philanthropic investment, while executing the Foundation's advancement plan and monitoring progress toward financial and growth objectives for The Cooper Foundation. The VP of Advancement will also support the SVP/CPO and the Board of Trustees to cultivate relationships that strengthen and expand Cooper's networking contacts within the Cooper community and embed the Foundation more deeply within the communities it serves.


Overview

  • Work directly with the SVP/Chief Philanthropy Officer of the Cooper Foundation to implement the comprehensive strategy for growth and Foundation advancement.
  • Establish strategies and relationships that will expand to new donor partnerships.
    Provide analysis and report on the overall performance of fundraising against goals and the strategic plan.
  • Design and implement growth strategies with opportunities to forge new donor relationships.
  • Participate in short- and long-term strategic planning for the planned gifts program based on data-driven metrics; bring best practices to the planned giving program.
  • Use a new staffing structure to facilitate an increased focus on frontline fundraising, grateful patient program development, clinician engagement, and corporate/foundation relations.
  • Align with community partners to meet the needs of Cooper patients, families, and the community.
  • Assist the Senior Vice President and Chief Philanthropy Officer with other assignments, as needed.
  • Travel, local and regional, required.

Experience Required

  • At least five years of experience in Development. Previous experience with identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and closing 5 and 6 figure gifts from individual donors.
  • Preferred Experience: Prior experience at the major gift level.

Education Requirements

* Bachelors required. Masters preferred.

Hourly Rate Min $98.56
Hourly Rate Max $119.23


The New Jersey Pay Transparency Act requires disclosure of the pay range for this position.

A salary offer will vary based on the job role, candidate experience, qualifications, internal pay equity and market data.
