THE ROLE:

TheSocial Producer, Original Videois responsible for producing digital and social-first video content specifically tailored for social media platforms. Core responsibilities include creating and editing original and repurposed video content, scripting, producing graphics and visual assets, and managing content workflows. The role also includes field production tasks such as directing and shooting social (ie iPhone) video content, coordinating rights clearances, and maintaining organized content tracking systems. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve processes and workflows is expected.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Create and Produce Social-First Creative Content
    Develop original and repurposed content for social and digital platforms, including video and visual assets. Contribute to ideation, research, script writing, editing or overseeing edits, asset creation and management, and apply design principles with a focus on custom content and typography.
  • Field Produce Social Shoots
    Support social video shoots by field producing, directing, and shooting with iPhone as needed.
  • Manage Content Tracking and Rights Clearance
    Track projects and assets using the department's content tracking system (e.g., Airtable), and coordinate rights submissions and clearances with the Global Rights team. Adhere to best practices for file naming, version control, and media storage in line with company and departmental protocols.
  • Collaborate Across Teams and Support Workflow Improvements
    Liaise with other departments on content production and assist in refining workflows and processes.
  • Additional Duties as Needed
    Support other tasks and responsibilities as assigned based on business needs and shifting priorities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years experience producing video for social and digital platforms
  • Experience in both post and field producing for social projects and/or other digital video
  • Strong scripting/story skills. Story producing credits a plus.
  • Experience creating content for multiple digital and social media platforms
  • Experience working with talent
  • Experience with history, crime, unscripted, and /or paranormal content a plus
  • Experience working with repurposed content a plus
  • Experience working within a network environment a plus
  • Strong video editing and visualization skills.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite software, including Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
  • Interactive/motion experience a plus
  • Design graphics in varying formats for social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook).
  • Experience in strategic brainstorming, creative brief development and creative executions
  • Strong time/project management and multi-tasking skills and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Detailed-oriented and extremely organized
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365, Mac OSX. Airtable experience a plus
  • Savvy and knowledgeable about current social media trends. Understanding the content best served on different social media platforms
  • Well versed in managing design principles for social-first content deliverables including: images, videos, gifs, memes, scene-lifts, IG stories, etc.
  • A creative, yet strategic thinker, comfortable navigating and ensuring creative alignment with the content strategy plan.
  • Solid understanding of social media platforms and their users (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc.)
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and can prioritize and manage your workload effectively.
  • When problems arise, you can raise them up in concise, actionable terms that facilitate rapid solutions.
  • Desire to proactively gain creative skills and institutional knowledge
  • Work independently and efficiently, and know when to ask for help.
Compensation Annual Pay Range: $74,086 - $85,199 Annual Incentive Target: 7.50%
