Senior* Data Engineer* (Contract, W2 Only) Location: Twin Cities or Madison WI (local candidates only - no relocation) Must be willing to work on-site 2 days per week at Minnesota office (Minnetonka MN) or Wisconsin Office (Madison WI) Employment Type: Contract (W2 only) with CTH option Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a W2 basis (U.S. Citizen, Green Card, or EAD). No sponsorship now or in the future. * * Role Overview This is a Seniorlevel, handson data engineering role focused on building and operating production data pipelines. You will write Python and SQL daily, own pipelines endtoend, and operate as a strong individual contributor. This role IS NOT people management, delivery management, or highlevel architecture - we're looking for someone who enjoys building systems and solving problems at the keyboard. * * * * Required Qualifications (Must Haves) * Seniorlevel experience writing Python and SQL in production environments * Proven experience building and owning data pipelines endtoend * Handson experience working in Gitbased workflows with CI/CD and code reviews * Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure strongly preferred) * Handson experience with Databricks, Spark, or similar distributed data processing frameworks * Comfortable working independently and making sound technical tradeoffs * * * * What You'll Do * Design, build, deploy, and support productiongrade data pipelines * Write and maintain highquality Python and SQL code * Own pipelines endtoend, including monitoring and troubleshooting * Work in Gitbased, PRdriven development workflows (CI/CD, code reviews, automated testing) * Collaborate with other engineers while operating independently daytoday * Make pragmatic technical decisions with minimal oversight Additional Details * This is a production engineering role with significant handson coding * Ideal candidates enjoy building, debugging, and improving complex systems * Seniorlevel contract position with a fast interview process for strong fits Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
