Description Job Title: SMT Operator I Location: Melbourne, FL Employment Type: Temp to Direct Industry: Electronic Manufacturing Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00/hr + 10% shift differential (2nd/3rd shift) Shift Options: * 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM * 3rd Shift: 11:30 PM - 7:30 AM About the Opportunity: Join a fast-paced electronics manufacturing team where your hands-on skills and attention to detail directly support the production of high-quality printed circuit board assemblies. As an SMT Operator I, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining specialized equipment used in surface mount technology (SMT) processes. You'll gain valuable experience supporting production operations, new product introduction (NPI), and high-volume PCB assembly environments. Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (Preferably electronic manufacturing) Minimum 1 year of experience in SMT equipment operation Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Experience with NPI. IPC-A-610 Certified. ESD Training. Knowledge of component identification and nomenclature. Knowledge of component handling, including ESD requirements. Basic computer skills, problem-solving, and workstation skills. Good organizational skills. Capable of performing job functions utilizing written procedures, verbal instructions, and visual aids. Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment. Ability to prioritize and organize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of ISO9001 and IPC-610 requirements. Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary. Attention to detail.
