Position Details


  • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Location: MNGI Digestive Health Vadnais Heights location
  • Salary Range: Starting range $113,776 - $130,853/hour (Where an applicant may fall on the salary range will vary based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience & education)

Key Responsibilities


  • Strategy Implementation



    • In collaboration with the Operations Management Group provide input to and implement operational changes.
    • Participates in and promotes efforts to measure and track implementation of operational changes.
    • Provides advice, counsel and support to Site Medical Director to ensure the smooth functioning of the sites.
    • Provides recommendations to physician leadership and professional management to improve clinical care and company performance.
    • In collaboration with the Site Medical Directors, and at the direction of the Executive Committee, maintain open communication and follow up with external relationships.


    Communication



    • Email summary of team meeting and comments back to operational leadership within a week after the meeting. This will keep front line feedback active with the OMG group and comments will help guide current projects or implementation plans.


    Management of Resources



    • Reviews budgets and performance. Makes recommendations to improve financial performance including opportunities to build external relationships.
    • Regularly reviews physician staffing and schedules. Coordinates access with Site Medical Director, the Senior Director of Practice Access and Utilization, and the Provider Requests department, according to current criteria for access.
    • Assists Human Resources, Operations Management Group, and Site Medical Director with the recruiting, orientation and assessment of new physicians.
    • Works with Site Medical Director to ensure efficient use of company resources, maximum utilization of company facilities and safe and effective patient care.
    • Prepares physician team meetings.
    • Serves on cross-company task forces or multi-disciplinary task forces as assigned.
    • Maintain relationships with the local hospital administration, as assigned by the Operations Management Group.

      • Monitor hospital outpatient access, where applicable, and discuss any concerns with the designated physician responsible for that hospital relationship.
      • Review any concerns submitted through advocacy, regarding the designated hospital, per normal process.


    • Responsible for maintaining a high performing staff including providing adequate training, resources and staffing levels to support the efficient functioning of the site. Develops Clinic Managers, Endoscopy Nurse Managers or charge staff and delegates appropriately in order to promote smooth-running facilities.

      • Identify and request site resource needs including equipment, materials and staff.
      • Conducts periodic assessment of performance for staff as indicated by current criteria.
      • Projects staffing needs in order to allow consistent and smooth-running departments.
      • Assures staff training and orientation and familiarity with available resources, current regulations and processes.
      • Maintains familiarity with the processes performed on site, standardizes and recommends best practice whenever possible.
      • Provides coaching, mentoring and opportunities for staff interested in professional growth.


    • Is aware of and follows company policies and procedures.
    • Maintains education and knowledge.
    • Available to attend a majority of assigned meetings.
    • Serve as a resource for those responsible for Admin on Call.


    Clinical Quality



    • Reviews patient complaints or concerns as requested by the patient advocate team. Promptly and appropriately responds to concerns, as applicable or as requested, including investigation of root causes, implementing corrective action, responding to patients as appropriate, and recommending system-level improvements to prevent patient complaints. Documents communications and actions per company policy.
    • Promotes measurement of patient satisfaction among staff to ensure useful data is coming back to the site regarding areas of improvement. Takes steps to understand, communicate and act on patient satisfaction data to continually improve the patient experience at MNGI.
    • Provides high quality clinical care on site by ensuring a well-functioning, collaborative team of staff.
    • Addresses issues of performance or behavior with individual employees in collaboration with Clinic Managers/Endoscopy Nurse Managers. Involves Site Medical Director with issues related to physician performance or behavior.
    • Monitor data for provider quality and communicate any concerns to the Site Medical Director
    • Holds quarterly meetings with Site Medical Director where at a minimum ASC related quality is discussed.



    Any and all other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred. 5 years of progressively responsible leadership or management experience is required.


Certifications/Licenses: In most cases license is not required, however, in some circumstances a current license as Registered Nurse (RN) in Minnesota may be required. Must be BLS certified.
