Job Description

The Sales Engineering Specialist will support strategic account coverage for hyperscale datacenter and optical transceiver manufacturer customers of Tower Semiconductor. This role is designed as a developmental commercial position, providing exposure to advanced semiconductor foundry platforms (e.g., silicon photonics, logic, RF, BCD) while building customer-facing, technical sales, and account management capabilities.The Sales Engineering Specialist will partner closely with a Senior Account Executive (SAE) to drive revenue growth, ensure operational excellence, and strengthen long-term customer relationships across leading cloud infrastructure and optical networking accounts.This role requires strong organizational discipline, technical curiosity, commercial acumen, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, cross-functional semiconductor environment.

Account Support & Customer Engagement

  • Support the Senior Account Executive in managing hyperscale datacenter and optical transceiver accounts.
  • Participate in customer meetings (onsite and virtual) and assist in preparing technical and commercial materials.
  • Track customer program milestones, tape-outs, and ramp schedules.
  • Align forecast needs from customers to Tower's planning and production capabilities.
  • Interface with Tower's Customer Success group (Account Managers and COMs) to provide a "single-face" team approach to supporting all facets of the customer's needs.
  • Coordinate follow-ups and ensure action items are executed across internal teams.
  • Maintain SFDC forecast and opportunity accuracy and pipeline documentation.

Commercial Execution

  • Assist in preparing quotations, pricing summaries, and business case analyses, including Non-Recurring Engineering fees, average selling price (ASP) and capacity needs.
  • Support contract documentation, NDA management, and customer onboarding processes.
  • Track forecast updates and assist with demand/supply planning coordination.
  • Monitor competitive positioning and provide account-level intelligence.
  • Hit / Over-achieve quarterly, annual and multi-year revenue targets and design win footprint expectations.
    Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Act as liaison between customers and all other Tower functions.
  • Track customer engineering change requests (ECRs) and escalation items.
  • Support resolution of yield, delivery, and quality issues in coordination with internal stakeholders.

Market & Technology Awareness

Develop understanding of:

  • SiGe and SiPho technologies
  • Datacenter and optical transceiver market trends
  • Advanced logic processes
  • RF SOI and RF CMOS platforms
  • Monitor hyperscale infrastructure developments and optical networking roadmaps.
  • Understand and map the competitive ecosystem and demand profile for customers, including Total Available Market (TAM),
  • Serviceable Addressable Market (SAM) and Share of Market (SOM).

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 0-5 years of experience in semiconductor, technology sales, or technical account support.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to synthesize technical information into commercial messaging.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
  • Willingness to travel domestically (up to ~50%).
  • Exposure to semiconductor device fundamentals or wafer fabrication concepts perferred.
  • Familiarity with hyperscale cloud providers and/or optical networking ecosystem perferred.
  • Internship or experience in semiconductor sales, product engineering, or business development perferred.

Compensation:

$90,000 - $150,000
