Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking an ETL Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ and Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This is a hands-on developer role focused on migrating an application to an in-house ETL tool. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, build, testing, and deployment of ETL solutions using IBM DataStage, participating in Agile ceremonies and collaborating with business stakeholders on requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and deploy ETL solutions
• Perform core IBM DataStage ETL development for data movement, data quality, and data cleansing
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate with business and technical stakeholders
• Convert ETL designs into specific development activities
• Design, implement, and operate comprehensive process models, including sourcing, loading, transformation, and extraction
• Create supporting documentation, such as metadata and diagrams of entity relationships and process flow
• Troubleshoot ETL process failures and provide technical support
• Enable teams with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) capabilities
• Guide and influence teams on design and best practices for high code performance
• Provide end-to-end delivery of complex features, including automation
• Conduct research and design prototyping to evaluate new toolsets

Requirements:

• Proven hands-on experience in ETL development
• Experience with ETL tools such as IBM DataStage and Informatica
• Experience with databases such as Oracle and Teradata
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Ability to work with stakeholders to establish high-level solution needs and with architects for technical requirements

Desired skills:

• Experience working with SAP packs
• Experience with high data volume and performance tuning in DataStage or Informatica

Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
