Position Summary

The Vice President of Ambulatory Business Lineswill oversee the development,implementation and daily operations ofemergingnon-hospital based ambulatory business operationsforMaineHealth. This position will work with the system's Chief Operating Officer and Chief Medical Transformation Officer to ensure the appropriate processes and procedures are in place to coordinate and streamlinenon-hospital-basedoperations across the health system.These initiatives and strategies include, butare notlimited to, developing and operationalizingMaineHealth'surgent care,ambulatory surgerycenterand imagingdelivery models.Alsocultivating new and innovative models for the delivery of non-hospital-basedservices.The Vice Presidentwillbe responsible fordelivering on key ambulatory critical success factors includinglowering the cost of care,consumer focus, standardized predictableprocessesand lean operations.

The Vice President will have an aligned and collaborative relationship withMaineHealthsystem partners, including system Service Lines, the MaineHealth Medical Group, Regional Presidents and Shared ServicesDepartments;particularly payor strategy,quality and safetyand the MaineHealth ACO.


KeyResponsibilities

* Direction and oversight ofnon-hospitalbased ambulatory operations includingboth clinical and administrative management.

* Continually analyze financesandoperationsand develop necessary changes to maximize operational excellence and efficiency.

* Coordination and establishment of market strategies, services and clinical programs pertaining tonon-hospitalbased ambulatory operationswhile simultaneously working to develop and adapt current processes to ensure high-quality patient care.

* Align ambulatory operations tovalue-basedgoals (total cost of care, quality,utilization,patient reported outcomes).

* Managerelatedfinancial initiatives including the development of capital budgets, strategic financial plans and operating budgetsforthe emergingbusiness lines.

* Coordinating withMaineHealth Medical Group and other key seniorleaders to ensure the alignment of physicianand APPrecruitment, and programmatic growth.

* Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and organizations for all areas of responsibility.

* Ensurefocus on the consumer by creatingambulatoryenvironmentsfocusedon service and convenience andunderstandingthe consumer relationship and retail model.

* Develop and implement standardized, predictable processesfor patientflow and throughput.

Required Knowledge & Experience

* Minimum of five years of progressive senior administrative leadership experience directly in health careandambulatory business lines.

* Graduate degree in relatedfield(MBA, MHA, RN,MAor MS).

* Excellent interpersonal skills; experience in working and collaborating closely with more senior management and physician leadership, andcommunity-basedagencies and partners.

* Demonstrated supervisory, management and collaboration skills, with physicians,nursesand the broader multidisciplinary team.

* Proven experience successfully implementing and leading change and building relationships and trust across the continuum in a complex health care environment.

* Demonstrated strong financial and resource management skills and a thorough understanding of the business side of healthcare delivery.
