Sr Buyer

  • Estimated annual base pay: $72,000.00(minimum) - $93,000.00(midpoint) - $115,000.00(maximum)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery and quality of goods.
  • Purchase Order Processing and maintenance: Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to anticipate needs and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Cost Optimization: Negotiate prices and PO terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
  • Communication: Effectively communicates with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure clear understanding and collaboration.

Key Skills:

  • Negotiation Skills: Demonstrates the ability to effectively negotiate terms and prices with suppliers to achieve favorable results for the organization.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Maintains and fosters strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains and collaborative partnerships.
  • Cost Management: Utilizes strategies to control and reduce costs while maintaining quality and meeting organizational needs.
  • Contract Management: Develops, reviews, and manages contracts with suppliers to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Inventory Management: Oversees inventory levels to balance supply and demand, minimizing excess stock and avoiding stockouts.
  • Data Analysis: Analyzes purchasing data and metrics to optimize procurement processes and support strategic decision making.
  • Communication Skills: Effectively communicates with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure clear understanding and collaboration.
  • Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves issues related to procurement processes, supplier performance, and supply chain disruptions.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensures all purchasing activities adhere to organizational policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards to mitigate potential risks.
  • Supplier Performance: Optimizing a suppliers performance by resolving complex problems through quality and delivery and driving systemic recovery.

Other Qualifications:

  • 5+ plus years in relevant industry OR 10+ years in procurement
  • Prior experience with SAP preferred
  • APICS CPIM certifications
