Job Purpose

Under direct supervision, assist higher-level employees with the duties listed below and perform all aspects of moderate complexity required for the completion of all electric Graphic Information Systems (GIS) and Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) projects. The preparation and perpetuation of standard maps and records of all with physical assets. Perform update and maintenance of varied types of maps and records within distribution electric system.

Key Accountabilities
  • Make updates to maps and records as requested through work queue.
  • Prioritize individual work queue to maintain appropriate turnaround of work to requesting parties.
  • Perform and complete GIS and Tabular "As Built" design changes for construction and confirming work requests.
  • Perform and complete GIS File Manager change requests with support.
  • Perform and complete CAD mapping/drawing change requests with support.
  • Produce and maintain Diagrams Maps and Drawings utilizing currently available technologies and tools with support from higher-level employees.
  • Analyze M&R Requests and completion reports and reconcile prints and drawings associated with those requests with support from higher-level employees.
  • Maintain Non-GIS Maps/Drawings using CAD Application tools with support from higher-level employees.
  • Maintain Maps/Drawings in support of Conventional Manhole, Duct and URD/UCD Systems utilizing GIS/CAD applications and perform any GIS/CAD "As Built" construction changes with support from higher-level employees.
  • Provide support to the Regional Control Center to ensure accuracy of EMS/ADMS, GIS and other Operations Systems with support from higher-level employees.
  • Support GIS Model Accuracy digitally and in taking field measurements and physical inventories of electric production, transmission and distribution plant.
  • Assist with project work as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Ability to undertake technical work, requiring a limited amount of technical guidance and supervision.
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in Mapping, Engineering, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Self-motivated, taking responsibility for work, supporting it from start to finish.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and GISFunctional understanding of Microsoft office suite including SharePoint.
  • Ability to read maps and construction drawings and knowledge of equipment and materials used in electric mapping.
  • Able to respond in off hours for planned or emergency overtime.
  • Possess sound interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Initiative and ability to make decisions.
