Position Summary
The Business Process Improvement Analyst serves as a technical specialist responsible for engineering streamlined, automated, and datadriven operational workflows across the organization. This role applies advanced processimprovement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, value-stream analysis) in combination with strong technical capabilities-including workflow automation, system integration, API-based data movement, and analytics enablement-to diagnose inefficiencies, architect scalable solutions, and implement optimized endtoend processes.
The position plays a critical role in designing and maintaining highreliability, highperformance process environments. This includes developing automation scripts and integrations, enhancing data flows between enterprise systems, creating documentation for system behavior and workflow logic, and ensuring technical processes adhere to standards for security, governance, and maintainability. The analyst collaborates deeply with both business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that redesigned processes are technically sound, measurable, scalable, and aligned with organizational architecture and performance objectives.

  • Lead complex processoptimization initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, statistical analysis, and systemsengineering methodologies to redesign workflows and eliminate operational bottlenecks.


  • Identify inefficiencies in multisystem workflows, policies, integrations, and reporting pipelines; engineer and implement technical solutions such as automated workflows, API/data integrations, and logicdriven decision engines to improve throughput and reliability.
  • Design futurestate architecture diagrams, technical process maps, and datadriven workflow models that incorporate automation, system integrations, and dataflow optimization to deliver measurable cost reductions, performance gains, and improved service-level outcomes.
  • Analyze operational, system, and performance datasets using advanced analytical methods to detect patterns, diagnose root causes, and quantify improvement opportunities using KPIs and statistical indicators.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring frameworks, technical dashboards, and automated reporting mechanisms that capture realtime process performance, detect anomalies, and validate the effectiveness of implemented solutions.

Automation & Technical Solutions

  • Engineer current and futurestate architectures by producing BPMN/UML process maps, Qlik Sense automations, eventdriven data pipelines, and Pythonbased services that eliminate manual handoffs, reduce cycle time, and increase throughput. Designs include interface contracts (schemas, APIs), errorhandling paths, and performance SLAs.


  • Configure and deploy complex automated workflows using advanced Python or SQL scripts, Microsoft Power Automate, Qlik, including Qlik Application Automation, and related platforms. Implement robust orchestration with scheduling, dependency management, idempotency controls, retry/alert logic, and rollback procedures to ensure reliable, repeatable execution.

  • Integrate automated data streams into enterprise reporting by collaborating with the Analytics team to define data contracts, map sourcetotarget transformations, and establish CDC/incremental load patterns.
  • Operationalize pipelines that feed governed semantic layers and Qlik applications, ensuring version control and lineage are captured.

  • Harden automation solutions for security, reliability, and governance by enforcing credential management (Key Vault/secret stores), leastprivilege access, parameterized queries, input validation, audit logging, and monitoring/alerting. Ensure alignment with institutional data governance, retention, and compliance standards; participate in periodic reviews and control testing.

  • Document, version, and maintain all business processes as part of enterprise businesscontinuity and resiliency planning, ensuring workflows, system dependencies, data flows, and failuremode contingencies are captured in structured technical documentation (BPMN diagrams, system architecture maps, and SOPs).


  • Develop complex, highfidelity process maps, workflow architectures, and technical documentation for all improvement initiatives, including dataflow diagrams, integration logic, automation specifications, exceptionhandling paths, and configuration details for Qlik, Power Automate, SQL/Python pipelines, and related systems.
  • Support endtoend project planning, scoping, and execution of processimprovement and automation initiatives by contributing to technical requirements gathering, solution architecture, task sequencing, risk analysis, dependency mapping, and testing/validation procedures.
  • Track, communicate, and escalate project progress to stakeholders using technical reports, workflow performance indicators, and automated project dashboards; ensure that technical risks, blockers, and system impacts are clearly communicated to both business and IT teams.

  • Partner with crossfunctional stakeholders to elicit business requirements, analyze system dependencies, and define technically feasible project scope, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, data governance policies, and operational constraints.


  • Deliver technical training, onboarding, and knowledgetransfer sessions to operational teams adopting new automated workflows, data integrations, or system enhancements. Provide documentation, job aids, and handson support to ensure correct configuration, usage, and troubleshooting of automation tools.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between business leadership and IT teams, translating operational requirements into system specifications, integration logic, dataflow requirements, and acceptance criteria to ensure accurate buildout and successful delivery of automated solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal partners, facilitating continuous improvement by proactively identifying system issues, coordinating technical discussions, sharing performance insights, and ensuring crossdepartmental alignment on process architecture and automation roadmaps.
