This position is responsible for operating a wide variety of tools and complex machinery. The Machinist repairs and produces parts using both manual and automated equipment with precise measurements. This position will require excellent mathematical and analytical skills, attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  1. Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations.
  2. Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate products.
  3. Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition.
  4. Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency.
  5. Diagnose machine tool malfunctions to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
  6. Dismantle machines or equipment, using hand tools or power tools to examine parts for defects and replace defective parts where needed.
  7. Set up or operate metalworking, brazing, heat-treating, welding, or cutting equipment.
  8. Operate CNC and press brake machine.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  2. The ability to read blueprints.



  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.
  • Excellent coordination and mechanical skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
