The Opportunity
As an Account Executive, ETRM at Hitachi, Ltd., you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth for our Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) software solutions within a defined territory. You will build and maintain strong client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and guide clients through the entire sales cycle, from initial engagement to successful implementation.
How You'll Make An Impact
* Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and exceed sales targets for Hitachi's ETRM solutions.
* Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within the energy trading and utilities sectors.
* Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, trading managers, risk managers, and IT professionals.
* Conduct in-depth needs analysis with prospective clients to understand their business challenges and demonstrate how Hitachi's ETRM solutions can address them.
* Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals tailored to client requirements.
* Collaborate closely with pre-sales engineers, product management, and professional services teams to ensure seamless client engagement and solution delivery.
* Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to secure profitable agreements.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales forecasts and pipeline data within the CRM system.
* Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes affecting the ETRM market.
* Represent Hitachi at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
Your Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Minimum of 10 years of proven sales experience in enterprise software, with a strong focus on ETRM, CTRM, or similar complex financial/commodity trading systems.
* Deep understanding of the energy trading lifecycle, including front, middle, and back office operations (e.g., deal capture, risk management, scheduling, settlement, accounting).
* Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Strong negotiation and closing skills.
* Proven ability to manage a complex sales cycle and build long-term client relationships.
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
* Ability to travel as required.
