Position Summary A Site Services Helper performs a variety of duties to assist in maintaining facilities and equipment, often under the direction of a supervisor. This role involves assisting with repairs, cleaning, and upkeep of buildings and equipment, as well as providing support for more skilled tasks. Primary Responsibilities * Support the lead carpenter by executing fundamental tasks that aid in the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures. * Collecting materials, maintaining cleanliness in work areas, and utilizing hand and power tools under supervision. * Assist with measuring, cutting, and shaping wood and other materials, and learn to perform layout tasks independently. Ensure work areas, machines, and equipment are cleaned to uphold a safe and efficient job site. * Select and transport the necessary tools, equipment, and materials for the day's tasks to the work area. Aid in setting up and relocating work areas as needed. * Demonstrate the ability to place and finish small amounts of concrete for housekeeping pads, stoops, sidewalks, etc. * Ensure the work area is consistently stocked with required materials and tools. * Assist in demolition tasks as needed to ensure safety. * Maintain cleanliness in the work area and restock supplies and materials as required. * Acquire skills in using appropriate hand and power tools to assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, plumbing, and other tasks. Qualifications * 1-year industrial construction experience preferred * Capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift weights up to 50 pounds. * Knowledge of hand tools and power tools. * Maintain vigilance regarding safety protocols and work quality. * Proficient in effective communication with supervisors and tradespeople. * Ensure a clean and orderly work environment. * Ability to Follow Instructions from supervisors Physical Requirements * Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Grasping, Feeling, Repetitive Motions Moving forward together We're committed to building a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace where everyone feels they belong, can bring themselves, and are heard.
