Manufacturing Shift Lead - Molding (7AM-7PM) $33.00/hr. Who we are looking for: We are currently searching for a Manufacturing Shift Lead to be based out of Dallas, TX. Reporting to the Injection Molding Manager, the Shift Lead will be responsible for leading and developing the shift team while ensuring all activities are performed safely and in alignment with the production schedule, quality requirements, and UL standards. This role places a strong emphasis on training, coaching, mentoring, and reinforcing standard work, while driving a positive work culture and a lean, data-driven operation. What you'll do:
Lead the shift with a strong focus on safety, quality, delivery, and productivity while driving a positive, respectful, and highperformance work culture.
Train, coach, and mentor team members to build skills, engagement, and accountability.
Ensure standard work is clearly understood, consistently followed, and continuously improved.
Reinforce lean manufacturing concepts, waste elimination, and continuous improvement practices.
Lead and support operators of injection molding machines, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and that changeovers and startups are executed correctly.
Lead troubleshooting efforts related to molding equipment, compounds, and processes.
Write clear and concise maintenance work orders and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
Adjust labor assignments based on attendance, skill level, training needs, and production priorities.
Use production, quality, and safety data (Hr. x Hr. boards, Gemba walks, Pareto analysis) to identify trends, prioritize actions, and support decisionmaking.
Ensure Hr. x Hr. boards, daily production paperwork, quality audits, Gemba boards, and Pareto boards are completed accurately and on time.
Ensure PPE compliance, adherence to Life Saving Rules, and strong safety awareness across the shift.
Conduct safety standdowns as required and ensure forklift safety logs are completed accurately.
Complete LSNI forms and ensure team members are trained on proper completion.
Complete accident and incident reports and communicate issues promptly to HR, the Plant Manager, and the Production Manager.
Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards and communicate needs for tools or replacements.
Provide performance feedback, coaching, and corrective actions when needed, and communicate development needs to the Production Manager.
Identify and escalate production, quality, or staffing issues that may impact safety or customer delivery.
Communicate clearly and professionally with operators, maintenance, and leadership across shifts.
Ability to perform other duties or tasks as assigned.
What you'll bring:
Ability to work 12-hour shifts on 2-2-3 schedule.
Strong commitment to safety and quality, including consistent use of PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toe shoes, gloves, high visibility vest).
Previous leadership, lead, or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience training, coaching, and mentoring hourly employees.
Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and standard work.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret production, quality, and safety metrics.
Experience with packaging operations and use of measurement tools.
Math proficiency and working knowledge of MS Office.
Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate written and visual information.
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at all levels.
Within 3 months, you'll:
Complete all required training.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of Atkore's Safety Culture.
Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders and team members.
Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operation

Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.
