Position Overview




Essential Job Duties
The department is requesting a Postdoctoral Scholar to work with Dr. Patrick and Conduct research and development (R&D) of multifunctional and self-healing structural polymers and fiber-reinforced composites.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Laboratory activities include: polymer synthesis/formulation, composite fabrication, test sample preparation, material characterization, microscopy/spectroscopy, thermo-mechanical evaluation, managing operations, equipment maintenance, and mentoring graduate students.
  • Provide: data analysis and visualization, computer programming, computer-aided design (CAD), preparing presentations, reports, and publications, and interacting with academic/industrial partners.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle for off-campus meetings and to transport samples.

Work Schedule M-F, 8 AM-5PM. There may be times outside 9am-5pm and on weekends when work is necessary.
