DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As the ADE Design Clerical Assistant you will provide a wide variety of specialized clerical services to the Department, including but not limited to word processing, scanning, copying, filing and proofreading, in an efficient and effective manner. Performs data entry and scanning for the ECMS, ECS and URMS Systems. Researches and composes letters, forms and reports, including replies to incoming letters and requests for information, expense vouchers, mileage record, payroll, replies to Quarterly Report of Design activities and various requests for training candidates. This position will continually ensure the office of the ADE-Design is operating in an efficient and effective manner by meeting deadlines as expected.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: This position may be eligible to telework part time. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):
  • Previous experience working with SAP.
