SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Provides professional nursing care to assigned patients. The Staff Nurse will assist with Urology procedures in a high-volume clinic; assesses patients, develops, as well as documents nursing care/discharge plans, prepares and administers medications and interventions. Staff Nurse directs tasks to nursing attendants and ancillary staff in patient care activities.Superb communication and customer service skills are requiredat all times to interact effectively with all patients.

ASSOCIATE REFERRAL PROGRAM:

For NYSNA members who successfully refer a candidate that is hired for a NYSNA position will receive $3, 500.00.

For others, $2,500.00 for referring a successfully hired: Staff RN I/II and Registered Nurse - WF

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Valid New York State Registered Professional Nursing license and registration.

Basic Life Support.

Infection Control Certificate

Effective English communication skills, written, oral and interpersonal.

Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval system.

Use of patient care equipment as authorized by scope of practice.

Use of electronic clinical information system.
