Description

Acara Solutions seeks a Test Engineer for our client in Scottsdale, AZ.

  • As an Integration & Test Engineer for Tactical Communications, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for providing rapid prototype mission critical solutions to our customer community.
  • The Lead is responsible for overseeing the integration, verification, and validation of complex embedded systems within the Unified Testing Framework (UTF) environment.
  • This role needs expert-level knowledge of testing methodologies, Python programming, and system integration practices to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Generation of system test work products by applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools.
  • Development of test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products.
  • Development of functional, environmental, operational, and/or performance tests on hardware, software, and systems.
  • Design, development and implementation of cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting of hardware, software and systems for all phases of product development.
  • Design comprehensive test plans that cover all aspects of product functionality.
  • Support automated test scripts using Python 3.9+ following the client's coding standards.
  • Implement robust verification and validation methodologies.
  • Participate in integration activities between hardware, firmware, and software teams.
  • Establish integration procedures that ensure smooth component interaction.
  • Support AGILE implementation.
  • Create detailed test documentation including test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of test activities and results.
  • Openly proposes ideas that enhance productivity and efficiency, solicits input, and optimizes solutions.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science or Technology or Mathematics with 2 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with test equipment (signal analyzer, signal generator, USRP).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with object-oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree with 6 months of experience.
  • Solid knowledge in use and understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
  • Dedicated problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting and exceeding personal and team commitments.
  • Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Additional Information:

  • Requires the ability to obtain an Active Secret Clearance.
