NYU Grossman School of Medicine, in affiliation with Woodhull Medical Center, is seeking a full-time Division Chief of Nephrology to lead our Division of Nephrology at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center. Located in the heart of North Brooklyn, Woodhull is a 400-bed Level II Trauma Center and an essential part of the NYC Health + Hospitals network, providing comprehensive care to the diverse communities of Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Greenpoint.

This is an exciting opportunity for a board-certified nephrologist with strong leadership experience and a passion for providing high-quality care to join our dynamic nephrology team. The Director will oversee all nephrology operations, ensuring the highest standards of care and promoting excellence in both clinical practice and academic endeavors.

Position Highlights:



  • Lead and oversee the Nephrology Division, including outpatient clinics, inpatient services, dialysis care, and the treatment of kidney diseases
  • Provide clinical leadership, ensuring the highest standards of nephrology care and patient safety
  • Supervise and mentor nephrology fellows, residents, and medical students
  • Promote research initiatives in kidney disease, dialysis, and other related fields
  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with other departments, such as cardiology, internal medicine, and surgery, to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Foster the growth and development of the division, including developing strategic goals and quality improvement initiatives
  • Participate in continuing education, including the NYU Grossman School of Medicine academic resources


Qualifications:



  • Board certification in Nephrology
  • Completion of a fellowship in Nephrology
  • Strong leadership experience in clinical, academic, and administrative settings
  • Commitment to clinical excellence, education, and community health
  • Eligible for New York State Medical Licensure
  • Experience in research and academic collaboration


We offer a competitive compensation package, including:



  • Annual Base Salary: $262.725.00
  • 403B/457 Participation with a 10% employer contribution (no employee match required)
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement: $3,000-$3,500, inclusive of one week of paid CME time
  • Projected Annual Revenue Sharing payments of up to $30,000 contingent upon meeting productivity and compliance metrics
