Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Director, Clinical Account Management to join our team!

The Director, Clinical Account Management leads a team of Clinical Account Executives to deliver exceptional clinical strategies and support for health plans, employers, and consultants. This role ensures clinical programs align with client objectives, drives retention and growth, and serves as a strategic partner to internal and external stakeholders. The Director will oversee operational excellence, team development, and execution of clinical initiatives that improve outcomes and optimize pharmacy benefit performance. The Director provides oversight of account planning, performance metrics, and operational excellence while fostering collaboration across teams to ensure seamless service delivery. By leveraging client feedback and market insights, this role drives continuous process improvement, identifies opportunities for expansion, and contributes to organizational strategy through actionable insights that support long-term business objectives.

Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team?

    Serve as a senior-level clinical advisor for strategic accounts, influencing benefit design and guiding complex decision making.
  • Partner with internal clinical experts to design and execute enterprise-level clinical strategies that deliver measurable outcomes and cost optimization.
  • Ensure delivery of consultative services, reporting, and clinical programs aligned with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Cultivate strong senior-level client relationships to drive retention, growth, and strategic alignment.
  • Provide consultative guidance on plan and benefit design recommendations to optimize clinical and financial outcomes.
  • Represent the organization in engagements, including Pharmacy & Therapeutics committees, RFP responses, finalist presentations, and renewal negotiations.
  • Own the creation and delivery of Strategic Business Plans, Consultative VALUE Summaries, and Performance Standard reports.
  • Serve as an executive-level clinical resource to implementation teams during client onboarding and clinical program launches by providing strategic guidance, influencing key decisions to optimize outcomes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, and establishing escalation protocols to address implementation challenges.
  • Drive collaboration with Pharmacy Operations, Clinical Services, and Analytics teams to ensure seamless execution of client deliverables.
  • Oversee implementation and monitoring of clinical programs, including formulary management, utilization management, and cost-containment initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and client satisfaction metrics; implement corrective actions to ensure performance targets are met.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on budget planning and P&L management, providing insights to optimize financial performance.
  • Lead and inspire high-performing teams by providing strategic direction, aligning talent and resources with organizational goals to drive operational excellence, foster cross-functional collaboration, and promote a culture of continuous improvement across key business initiatives.
  • Travel as needed to engage with client stakeholders, strengthen strategic relationships, and support high-impact initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

What our team expects from you?

  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or PharmD required.
  • Current, unrestricted licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of residence, or the ability to gain reciprocity within 4 months, may be required based on state of residence laws or client contracts. Refer to the Licensure and Credentialing Verification P&P for current detail.
  • 8+ years of clinical account management or client services experience required.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience with a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams required.
  • In-depth understanding of PBM industry, clinical programs, pharmacy claims, and managed care principles and practices required.
  • Experience with formulary development and management, including drug utilization review and prior authorization processes required.
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
  • 20-30% required travel
