Position Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Full Time



Open Until Filled.



$3,637.87 to $4,001.66 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. South Area/Melbourne/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs skilled professional engineering work coordinating, planning, designing, reviewing, inspecting and/orimplementing assigned projects. May supervise subordinate staff.



REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a closey related field PLUS five (5) years of experience in transportation engineering, which includes two (2) years of post-registration experience; OR Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a closely related field PLUS four (4) years of experience as a Brevard County Engineer I in traffic operations, planning and development, or a closely related field, which includes one (1) year of post-registration experience. Supervisory experience is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must possess an active license as a Professional Engineer (PE), registered in the State of Florida, in accordance with Florida Statute 471, and maintain said license in an active status during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
