About Department 701 - Navy Facility Engineering & Training Technologies Group Department 701, located at SUBASE Groton, CT, provides training support for submarines and facilities at forward sites in engineering, planning, logistics and modernization for all classes of submarines. We are seeking a highly motivated professional with experience in Finance and analytics to support execution, reporting, and data-driven analysis. Role Overview In this role, you will support financial and program management activities for D701 projects, including analysis, reporting, data management, and cross-functional coordination. This role plays a key part in modernizing financial reporting through analytics and dashboard development, supporting leadership decision-making, and ensuring accuracy and integrity across financial systems and reports. Key Responsibilities
Manage and analyze project funding, procurement, manning, and cost data across D701 programs
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and traceability of financial data across systems and reports
- Prepare and maintain financial dashboards and analytical reports
- Support transition of legacy data to EB platforms, including Oracle and Microsoft Power BI
- Develop standardized metrics and performance indicators for leadership insight
- Coordinate with Purchasing systems and buyers to support procurement activities
- Interface with NAVSEA and DoD customers and support recurring meetings
- Prepare financial and program status updates and respond to data requests
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Accounting, or Data Analytics
- 5-10 years progressive experience in financial analysis, program support, or data management
- Must have 5+ years of documented experience utilizing Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with Power BI, SQL, VBA, Oracle, or similar tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret security clearance
Preferred
- Experience with Project Management/Scheduling and Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
- Experience with EB Contracts, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Program Finance, and Planning
- Experience interfacing with internal and external customers
