Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Engineer for a Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is part of a major Digital Transformation initiative within the Americas Division. The team is focused on modernizing technology and enhancing a data-driven approach to support a strategic data platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and developing data solutions on the Azure Cloud Platform. Responsibilities: Participate in the active development of the data platform in close coordination with the internal team Contribute to the establishment of a reference data system for securities and pricing data, and later expand to other data domains Follow internal development standards to contribute to the overall agenda of the Data Strategy team Implement solutions on the organization's Azure Cloud Platform Requirements: 10+ years of relevant experience Full stack Python/PySpark developer Proven experience as a Data Engineer with experience in Azure cloud Experience implementing solutions using Azure cloud services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Lake Gen 2, Azure Databases, Azure Data Fabric, API Gateway management, and Azure Functions Well versed with Azure Databricks Strong SQL skills with RDBMS or NoSQL databases Experience with developing APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks in Python Familiarity with the DevOps lifecycle (git, Jenkins, etc) and CI/CD processes Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes Desired skills: Experience in financial services industry, financial instruments, asset classes and market data are a plus Pay range: $59.02 - $63.02 per Hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
