POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide dedicated operational support for Contract Pharmacy and Alternate Distribution Model (ADM) programs, ensuring accurate execution, timely fulfillment, and protection of existing 340B value. This role is responsible for end-to-end ADM operational execution, including packing and shipping product to contract pharmacy partners in accordance with defined schedules and partner requirements.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Key Responsibilities

Contract Pharmacy Operations


  • Manage day-to-day operational workflows for contract pharmacy programs.
  • Support setup and maintenance of contract pharmacy 340B purchasing accounts with wholesalers.
  • Coordinate with internal and external contract pharmacy administrators and pharmacy partners.
  • Support audit readiness and documentation related to contract pharmacy operations.
  • Review and approve invoices to ensure proper payment.

ADM Operational Execution


  • Execute ADM workflows in alignment with contract terms and 340B compliance requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies impacting ADM value capture.
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for ADM partners.
  • Maintain clear documentation of ADM and contract pharmacy workflows.
  • Prepare and place all orders in accordance with the set parameters.
  • Maximize ADM potential while ensuring that the Covered Entity can operate without impact.
  • Prepare all regulatory paperwork related to ADM orders.

ADM Packing & Shipping


  • Own packing and shipping of ADM product to contract pharmacies across all programs.
  • Ensure shipments are prepared accurately, securely, and in accordance with:

    • Partner-specific shipping schedules
    • Product handling requirements
    • Contractual service-level expectations


  • Coordinate shipment timing to ensure continuity of supply at contract pharmacy sites.
  • Track shipments, resolve delivery issues, and maintain shipping documentation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:


  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent degree and strong mathematical skills.
  • Preferred: Some college, and associates or Bachelor's degree

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required:


  • Required - Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy.
  • Required - National pharmacy technician certification from either Pharmacy Tech Certification Board (PTCB) Adv. prior to role entry or obtain the PTCB Adv. certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Preferred - Apexus 340B ACE certification highly recommended

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in 340B operations, contract pharmacy, ADM, specialty pharmacy, or purchasing operations

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA):


  • Requires mathematical skills, knowledge of purchasing and material management.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to interact appropriately with hospital staff, colleagues, external partners, and others.
  • Working knowledge of 340B program as it relates to drug purchasing and operations.
  • Ability to solve complex problems related to drug purchasing, 340B utilization, or drug pricing.
  • Experience with Microsoft programs (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Outlook) and web browsers. Experience with Pharmacy Management software preferred.
  • Experience with fulfillment, packing, and shipping workflows.
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to readily adapt to changes in schedule specifications, and work priorities as the business and customer needs demand.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy loads as required for handling medication orders.
  • Must maintain the required level of competency to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

Compensation Range:

$62,500.00- $91,000.00

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
