Job Description




As a Security Officer Flex Armed Perimeter-Patrol Driver in McAllen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and deliver professional customer service and communication to shoppers and store teams. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, associates, and visitors while carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, adjacent property, and perimeter, including parking areas, receiving areas, and other designated zones, documenting observations per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and medical situations, and coordinate with site leadership and public responders as needed.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas to help to deter theft and/or disruptive behavior, support loss prevention efforts, and assist with access control and employee or vendor deliveries when assigned.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs, preserve relevant information for investigations, and communicate promptly with supervision and site contacts regarding security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III Armed Certification is required for Texas only.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
