As a Security Officer - Dispatch in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will coordinate security-related responses, monitor alarms and access activity, and communicate updates to on-site teams and leadership. You will help keep operations running smoothly by documenting incidents, routing calls, and supporting patrol units with clear directions and timely information. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Operate the dispatch center by monitoring alarms, cameras and/or access control systems, receiving incoming calls, and dispatching patrol personnel and/or site resources according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting actions taken, and communicating updates to appropriate contacts.
  • Maintain accurate, timely security-related logs and reports, including incident reports, shift activity summaries, and tracking of keys, badges and/or credentials as required by site policy.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, when assigned, and report unusual conditions that could help to deter unwanted activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
