What You'll Do
|
Summary/Objective: The Endpoint Engineering I role is primarily responsible for the planning, ordering, tracking, and deploying of all end-user hardware (workstations and peripherals) as well as the analyzing, planning, and testing of software in a physical and virtual production environment. Additionally, the role is responsible for providing 3rd tier support for all ticket escalations and incidents. - Manage the end-user workstation and peripheral purchase process within the IT procurement and inventory management function.
- Define the end-user/asset management hardware lifecycle, including developing and implementing a PC refresh program.
- Administers company hardware deployment, refresh, donations, or disposition based on established guidelines.
- Update, validate, and maintain enterprise asset repository.
- Conducts regular audits to ensure accuracy of asset data and reporting.
- Creates or revises existing asset management, technology refresh, and procurement related documentation.
- Tracks and recovers equipment from exiting users.
- Tracks and ships hardware to remote users as requested.
- Minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Tracks quality throughout the product lifetime.
- A specialist on complex technical and business matters as relates to IT Asset Management/Purchasing.
- Configure equipment for employee use, performing proper installation of OS and software applications via SCCM.
- Assist in the documentation and scoping of complex business impacting projects involving inter-department collaboration.
- Initiate and contributes to the development and ongoing improvement of industry best practices and standards for deploying enterprise desktop technologies.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve technical issues while actively pursuing mechanisms for preventing or automating the response to reoccurrences.
- Identify and learn the software needs of the business areas.
- Analyze and review application requests to have software added to our corporate library.
- Collaborate with the larger team of Engineer's to improve existing deployment and management tools.
- Coordinate training and communication materials for new or enhanced services/technologies.
- Research, plan, and test fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
- Continuously develop technical subject matter expertise on established and emerging desktop technologies such as SCCM, Desktop Virtualization, Active Directory, Azure AD, O365 administration, Print Servers/Webjet Admin, DHCP, Active Directory Sites and Services, Intune, Jamf, etc.
- Support Mobile Device Management (MDM) (Apple and Android).
- Provide 3rd tier support for complex technical issues and incidents
- Adherence to policies, procedures and documentation standards.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Manager(s).

What You'll Need
|
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Information Technology or related field
- 1-3 years of IT experience
- 1+ years of desktop engineering experience
- ITIL, M365 Certified: Fundamentals or equivalent certification preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Expected Pay Range
|
$30.00 - $33.70 / hour
