Responsible for directing Teknion's Public Sector sales program in the United States. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the management of Regional Sales Managers, collaboration with regional and program sales leaders, implementation of corporate initiatives, development and management of budgetary constraints, maintenance of high level client relationships and increasing Teknion's sales volume and market share within the Public Sector market.

What You'll Do & How You'll Make an Impact

This role is an opportunity to highlight the benefits of Teknion's public sector contracts with dealer partners and regional sales throughout the US with the opportunity to expand the current program in a substantial way.

Key Responsibilities/Impact Areas:

  • Exceed public sector sales targets, potentially surpassing individual quotas.
  • Lead and develop Regional Public Sector Sales Managers.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and performance evaluations of the Regional Public Sector Sales team.
  • Actively engage in strategic sales initiatives and high-value opportunities.
  • Support the development of public sector sales budgets and resource allocation.
  • Orchestrate collaborative sales efforts across Teknion's various departments, including regional field sales, A&D Managers, and Product Specialists, to drive successful outcomes.
  • Optimize distribution channels for the public sector market, working closely with Regional Public Sector Sales Managers and Regional Sales to ensure comprehensive market coverage.
  • Identify and establish new public sector partnerships and dealerships as strategic opportunities arise.
  • Contribute to long-term sales planning, including forecasting personnel needs and market expansion.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all sales forecasts.
  • Exhibit strong, empowering leadership.
  • Foster professional and collaborative relationships with Teknion's operations teams.
  • Actively participate in key management initiatives, such as succession planning and sales training program development.
  • Leverage all sales enablement tools and resources to ensure adoption and proficiency across the team.
  • Prompt, reliable and regular attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring (Skills & Experience)

Must-Have Qualifications

  • BS Degree or equivalent. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of five years' experience selling office furniture systems with a focus on the public sector with a proven track record of success and growth.
  • Experience managing a professional consultative sales organization.
  • Ability to work independently and achieve results.
  • Strong public sector acumen.
  • Strategic leader with the ability to communicate the programs vision throughout the organization.
  • Exceptional sales and business development skills.
  • Experience coaching and developing a team.

Travel Requirements

Travel can range from 40% to 50%
