Overview:


The ESM Platform Analyst II is responsible for both business analysis and hands on configuration/development within our enterprise HaloITSM platform. This role partners with a Product Owner and collaborates with IT and business stakeholders to design, configure, and optimize enterprise service management processes. The Analyst gathers requirements, translates them into technical designs, and directly builds workflows, automations, forms, integrations, and service catalog solutions using HaloITSM's low code capabilities. The role combines functional analysis, solution design, platform administration, and continuous improvement to deliver scalable, supportable, best practice ITSM/ESM solutions.



Requirements Analysis & Solution Design:



  • Engage stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional designs and HaloITSM configurations.
  • Recommend process improvements aligned with ITSM and ESM best practices.
  • Produce functional and technical specifications for workflows, data structures, automations, and integrations.



Platform Configuration, Development & Administration:



  • Serve as the primary configurator/developer of the HaloITSM platform.
  • Build workflows, automations, service catalog items, forms, business rules, email templates, dashboards, and UI configurations.
  • Configure and support core modules (Incident, Request, Change, Asset/CMDB, Knowledge, Portal, and ESM departments).
  • Implement and maintain API based integrations, webhooks, scheduled jobs, and platform data models.
  • Manage platform settings, permissions, roles, and environments.



Low Code Development & Automation:



  • Develop solutions using HaloITSM's low code tools: workflow builder, automation engine, and scripting capabilities.
  • Implement conditional logic, triggers, notifications, task routing, approvals, and data transformations.
  • Ensure solutions are maintainable, scalable, and aligned with platform standards.



Testing, Quality Assurance & Release Support:



  • Perform unit, system, and regression testing for all configuration and development work.
  • Coordinate and support UAT with business users.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, change notes, and adherence to release/change management processes.



Cross Functional Collaboration & Delivery:



  • Partner with the Product Owner to refine backlog items, estimate effort, and prioritize work.
  • Work closely with IT teams, business units, and vendors to implement and enhance ESM solutions.
  • Facilitate requirement walkthroughs, demos, and process mapping sessions.
  • Assist with data migration, environment setup, and platform expansion.



User Support, Troubleshooting & Training:



  • Provide advanced functional support for HaloITSM incidents and problems.
  • Troubleshoot configuration issues, integration failures, workflow errors, and data anomalies.
  • Create documentation, release notes, communication guides, and training materials.
  • Conduct user training and platform demonstrations.
