What to Expect
We are looking for a highly motivated application support engineer to join our team to support our Austin Texas factory. The ideal candidate will have a good balance of building relationships with users, solving technical problems and enterprise system knowledge. You will be part of a small, expert team responsible for operational health, incident response, automation, and data-driven insights across software and manufacturing systems. The ideal candidate balances real-time problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and strong technical depth in SQL, Python/Go, and data pipelines.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with software developers and manufacturing engineers to understand user issues and deliver timely resolutions
- Understand end-to-end workflows of factory software, data pipelines, and integrated systems
- Create temporary workarounds to restore production when permanent fixes are not immediately available
- Document troubleshooting guides, runbooks, and dashboards to enable self-service and knowledge sharing
- Build, maintain, and enhance SQL-based reports, dashboards, and data pipelines
- Own a specific production problem and provide active coordination between various groups including internal and external teams
- Monitor key manufacturing metrics and identify trends, anomalies, and root causes
- Work as an incident commander of production critical calls that require coordination between cross-functional teams
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering field or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze logs, system behavior, and application workflows
- Strong working knowledge of SQL, scripting languages, APIs, databases, and automation tools
- +1 years of support engineering experience
- +1 years of experience with Python, Go or other software development language
- Must be able to understand integrated systems and their dependencies
- Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic and a self-starter
- Strong organizational skills along with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills for working with developers, operations teams, and end-users
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
