Job Summary: Provides direct support on quality and compliance to internal departments and programs whilst remaining aligned to company-wide strategic business objectives. Responsible for implementing best practice, preventative, and continuous improvement quality management systems that provide customer satisfaction. Ensures quality compliance to contracts, industry regulations, state and federally mandated standards, including policies and procedures throughout the business unit. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures product development programs are compliant to AS9100 and customer Quality or regulatory standards.
  • Works with QA Management and regional programs to enhance the Nuvotronics Quality Management System.
  • Implements Quality goals and objectives in support of company-wide strategic business plans, as well as supporting QA management with special projects.
  • Working within a program, provides independent, objective status reporting to program leaders and management.
  • Develops effective working relationships with internal and external customers, promoting ownership, defect prevention, and knowledge sharing.
  • Designs and performs quality compliance tests/inspections as needed.
  • Designs and performs supplier inspection and monitoring programs. Resolves supplier nonconformances and performs supplier on-site audits and assessments.
  • Support Production in cleanroom environment to ensure workmanship standards and customer on-time delivery is met.
  • Support customers through the RMA process, including disposition and resolution.
  • Maintain gauge calibration system.
  • Promotes and facilitates stakeholder root cause analysis.
  • Conduct planned internal audits with internal departments, programs and subcontractors.
  • Support external audits by customers and vendors.
  • Participates in the development of Cost of Quality analyses and generates required reports.
  • Interfaces with all appropriate departments, programs and subcontractors as related to quality problem resolution.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree in an engineering or technical-related discipline, plus a minimum of five years' experience in hardware development and/or production.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) required, knowledge and experience with AS9100D preferred.
  • Experience with aerospace and space/flight products is desired. Knowledge of MIL-STD-883 desired. Proficiency in use of Solidworks and JMP desired. Experience/ knowledge of quality techniques such as root cause analysis, FMEA, control plans, and lean/six sigma.
  • Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interface with employees at all levels, customers and subcontractors.
  • Must be objective and self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision. Must have ability to prioritize, progress multiple projects in parallel, and work under deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Must have a positive people-oriented attitude.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a DOD security clearance

Cubic Pay Range:

$116,000.00 - $143,000.00 + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
