Job Summary Grady Health System is seeking an Imaging Scheduling Liaison to support the coordination and scheduling of imaging services across the health system. This role plays a critical part in ensuring imaging appointments are scheduled accurately, efficiently, and with a strong focus on patient service. The Imaging Scheduling Liaison collaborates with providers, clinical staff, and patients to coordinate diagnostic imaging appointments while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer care. This position is responsible for managing scheduling requests, entering imaging orders, and monitoring work queues within the EPIC electronic health record system to ensure timely processing and accurate appointment coordination. In this role, the Imaging Scheduling Liaison supports the operational flow of the radiology department by ensuring patients are scheduled appropriately based on provider orders, imaging modality requirements, and departmental protocols. The liaison must demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage scheduling priorities in a high-volume healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and schedule diagnostic imaging appointments in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols Communicate with patients, providers, and clinical teams to ensure accurate and timely appointment scheduling Enter and manage imaging orders within the EPIC electronic health record system Monitor and manage EPIC work queues to support efficient workflow and appointment coordination Provide professional and courteous customer service via phone and email Verify and ensure accurate patient and order information prior to scheduling appointments Support departmental operations by maintaining efficient radiology scheduling workflows
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Two (2) or more years of job-related experience in a high-volume healthcare environment Experience entering data into an electronic health record (EHR) system Knowledge of medical terminology Basic computer proficiency
