Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality laboratory testing within trained and competency areas

  • Maintain strong technical skills and meet required turnaround times

  • Accurately document training, competencies, QC, troubleshooting, and maintenance

  • Follow established methodologies, procedures, and safety practices

  • Ensure precise patient and specimen identification and labeling

  • Complete required phlebotomy training (capillary and venous collections across all age groups)

  • Use laboratory computer systems effectively

  • Make sound independent decisions to support accurate patient care

  • Communicate clearly with leadership and healthcare team members

  • Participate in ongoing education, training, and mentoring of new staff


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field or graduate of an accredited Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist program.

Candidates must have one of the following certifications:

  • Certified Medical Technologist (MT) through American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
  • ASCP certification in a relevant laboratory specialty.
  • Note: Candidates who are eligible to obtain MT or MLS (ASCP) certification are also encouraged to apply.
