Painter - Healthcare - JLL What this job involves:

The Painter role at JLL focuses on maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic integrity of healthcare facilities through skilled painting and basic handyman services. This position plays a critical role in supporting our clients' operational excellence by ensuring building aesthetics meet the highest standards while directly contributing to patient and staff satisfaction. You will be an essential member of the Operations team, responding to service requests with precision and care while supporting the room readiness program in a fast-paced healthcare environment

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Execute professional painting projects and perform basic drywall, trim, and flooring repairs across assigned healthcare buildings
  • Respond promptly to customer service requests, ensuring timely completion and quality workmanship
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to open, update, and close work orders while maintaining organized documentation
  • Support the room readiness program by assisting operational staff with room and common area repair and maintenance
  • Conduct assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as-found conditions to the Facility Manager and Lead Engineer
  • Maintain tool inventory, order supplies as needed, and ensure work areas meet housekeeping and safety standards
  • Collaborate with the Operations team on ongoing maintenance projects, moving furniture, equipment, and materials as requested
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of applicable experience in general building repair and maintenance
  • Demonstrated expertise as an experienced painter with proficiency in basic drywall repair, trim/millwork repair, and basic flooring repair
  • Valid state driver's license (must possess and maintain)
  • Physical capability to frequently walk, climb, bend, kneel, lift up to 80 lbs., stoop, and work/extend overhead
  • Ability to safely use ladders up to 40 ft., work from heights, and climb ladders with 300-lb weight limits while carrying a 20-lb tool bag
  • For internal candidates: consistent "meets expectations" job performance reviews
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Effective communication abilities in both oral and written formats
  • Experience working in healthcare or mission-critical environments
  • Familiarity with CMMS platforms and digital work order management
  • Knowledge of hazardous material storage, usage, and disposal procedures
  • Proactive mindset with ability to identify safety hazards and propose elimination methods

Location: Onsite, Fort Lauderdale,FL

Salary: $18 to $25 per hour
