| JOB SUMMARY |
Under limited supervision, performs work requiring extensive automotive, hydraulic system, and mechanical knowledge in the repair and maintenance of field vehicles and construction equipment. THIS POSITION IS REQUIRED TO TRAVEL. The role can be based out of the Kansas City, Wichita or Central Kansas area.

| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience and/or training in maintenance and repair of trucks and/or heavy equipment, education in diesel technology or related field, or a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the position's duties.
- Considerable knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance.

| OTHER REQUIREMENTS |
- Must have a Class A CDL and a DOT medical card (or be able to obtain within 6 months).
- Must have a safe driving record and a valid driver's license according to legal requirements.
- Subject to the Company's DOT Substance Abuse Testing Program.
- Must have own tools and experience with power tools and hand tools.

| JOB RESPONSIBILITIES |
Diagnoses, rebuilds, and repairs vehicles and equipment to include maintaining and repairing utility construction equipment including, but not limited to, digger derricks, man lifts and truck-mounted cranes, directional drills, bulldozers, trailers, etc.
- Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs vehicles to include maintaining and repairing heavy duty diesel including but not limited to Peterbilt, Kenworth, International, Freight Liner, Kawasaki, Ford, CAT, Cummins, Detroit, Allison, etc.
- Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs vehicles to include maintaining and repairing automotive diesel.
- Requisitions new and/or replacement parts and equipment.
- Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Prepares and maintains records and reports.
- Set up new equipment and vehicles.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and outside agencies.
- Safely drive various vehicles and/or transport equipment; perform inspections on vehicles before and after trips. Obtains, as necessary, all moving permits, licenses, titles, safety checks, etc. as required by corporate policy, state or federal regulations or client requirements. Perform minor emergency road service as necessary.
- Conduct all work with established safety procedure.
- This position is required to drive.
- Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
