Summary: Responsible for overseeing and managing the operation, maintenance, and repair of physical infrastructure and utility systems. This position ensures the smooth functioning of facilities and plays a critical role in providing a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions Supervise and coordinate the maintenance and repair activities for the hospital's buildings, mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other infrastructure components.
-Manage the operation and maintenance of the hospital's utility systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, power distribution, water supply, and waste management. -Ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of all facility-related equipment, such as generators, boilers, chillers, and elevators. -Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards, conducting regular inspections and audits to maintain a safe and compliant environment. -Develop and manage the facilities engineering budget, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high-quality standards. -Lead and supervise a team of facilities technicians and engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce. -Implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to proactively address potential issues and extend the lifespan of facility equipment. -Coordinate and oversee facility improvement projects, renovations, and upgrades, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to hospital operations.
