Job Description




As a Security Officer - Entry Screening Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location supporting access control and security-related operations. You will greet and screen visitors, manage badge and gate activity, verify credentials, document incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams to help reduce risk. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license in the job state. Bring your customer service mindset to a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity and teamwork.

Requirements:

Driver's License

1+ years experience Law Enforecement OR

2+ years of security experience

Supervisor experience OR 3+ years of security experience

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting badges and/or credentials, and maintaining visitor, contractor, and delivery logs.
  • Screen incoming vehicles, materials, and deliveries as directed, including directing traffic flow, checking shipping documentation, and reporting irregularities in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as required and completing incident reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, and report maintenance or operational concerns through the appropriate channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience is required, or a minimum of 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience is required, or a minimum of 3 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
