Job Description




As a Security Guard - Badge Office Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location in an Access Control post, where you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support badge and visitor processing, and log activity using a computer or tablet. You will maintain a visible presence, perform routine patrols, and deliver customer-focused communication to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving role requiring a valid driver's license in the job state.

Driver's License

1+ years experience Law Enforecement OR

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical facility.
  • Staff access control points by verifying identity and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, managing key and/or badge control as assigned, and documenting entries and exits per site requirements.
  • Monitor for and report unusual conditions near entry gates, loading areas, and restricted zones to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including receiving alarms and/or calls for assistance, communicating with site contacts, and escalating notifications as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building entrances, perimeter routes, and critical infrastructure locations, with working environments and conditions that may vary by post.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience or 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years' security experience.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
