Langley Federal Credit Union is currently hiring for a Full Time Mortgage Sales Representative to work on-site from our Oyster Point location in Newport News, VA.

Job Summary:

The Mortgage Sales Representative provides existing and potential members with excellent service throughout the mortgage sales process. Representatives communicate with members and Mortgage Loan Officers across channels to assess the needs and propose and implement a solution to ensure applications are completed in a timely, accurate and compliant manner, engaging Mortgage Loan Officers as needed in pursuit of resolution.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:



  • Processes incoming leads to interview and counsel borrowers to determine a suitable real estate loan product.
  • Assigns appropriate leads and applications to Mortgage Loan Officers for follow-up.
  • Responds to member communications via phone, email, and Customer Relationship (CRM) tool.
  • Assists with day-to-day loan origination system support to Mortgage Loan Officers.
  • Assists Mortgage Loan Officers with collecting needed conditions, documentation, and information.
  • Makes outbound onboarding calls to welcome new credit union members.


Qualifications:



  • Two years consumer and/or mortgage lending products/services experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Ability to secure MLO designation required.
  • Knowledge of first mortgage regulations and guidelines preferred.
