Job Description

PURPOSE:

Supervise hourly employees in the safe manufacture of company products, satisfying all quality and productivity requirements in the most cost effective manner

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Responsible for adherence to process control procedures, operating instructions and all quality control instructions. Prime responsibility to safely manufacture a quality product with minimal scrap or rework, while meeting customer specifications.
  1. Responsible for the safe manufacture of products, safety in the areas of supervision, and maintaining a safe work environment. Emphasizes accident prevention. Ensures that legal requirements and company safety policy is enforced.
  1. Plans, organizes and supervises shift operation in accordance with production schedules and requirements of immediate supervisor in the most effective manner. Maintains total awareness of policies and procedures and assures compliance by assigned employees.
  1. Ensures that target earned hours are attained and budget criteria is met or beat.
  1. Develops, trains, and involves employees in maintaining and improving departmental efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, cooperation and morale.
  1. Ensures that all employees work in a safe manner and that each employee is properly trained in all safety procedures. Ensures that good housekeeping practices are routinely followed.
  1. Maintains employee attendance such that adequate staffing exists to meet required production schedules.
  1. Works with each employee to effectively resolve grievances, gives necessary feedback on employee performance, conducts formal performance appraisals and recommends pay increases, transfers and promotions in accordance with state and federal laws.
  1. Interviews and hires qualified people in accordance with state and federal laws.
  1. Ensures adequate equipment and supplies are available to complete the task requested of their subordinates.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 compliant Quality Management System required
  • 3 years' applicable metals-related manufacturing and/or inspection experience required
  • AS9100 & API Q1 experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience preferred

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $85,000 to $92,000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 40 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
