About the Role

The Application Administrator - Core Banking serves as the Tier 2 operational owner for the bank's core banking platform (FIS IBS) and online banking system (Candescent). The role ensures system stability, oversees escalations beyond vendor Tier 1 support, manages application changes, and strengthens operational efficiency. You'll collaborate with internal teams and thirdparty vendors to resolve incidents, enhance system performance, administer configurations, and support business users across the organization.

What You'll Do



  • Oversee daily operations of FIS IBS, Candescent, and related enterprise applications.
  • Manage user access, roles, and permissions across core platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application performance and functionality issues.
  • Track vendor bulletins, updates, and roadmap changes; coordinate deployment planning.
  • Support integration efforts between core banking, online banking, and enterprise systems.
  • Identify automation opportunities to increase efficiency.
  • Provide training, documentation, and bestpractice guidance to internal teams.
  • Serve as the escalation point for vendor support after Tier 1 processes.
  • Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, and contract renewals.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.



What You Bring



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience administering enterprise applications or working directly with core banking systems.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate in a fastpaced environment.
  • Experience researching and diagnosing application issues.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
  • Project management experience a plus.
