STS Technical Services is hiring Warehouse Workers in Oscoda, Michigan.

This position supports a 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Station performing maintenance, inspection, and testing on Pratt & Whitney JT8D turbofan engines used on Boeing 727, Boeing 737, McDonnell Douglas DC-9, and McDonnell Douglas MD-88 aircraft.

Position Summary

The Warehouse Worker supports engine overhaul and maintenance operations by managing parts, materials, tooling, and inventory within the engine shop and warehouse areas. This role works under the direction of Leads, Maintenance Control, or Operations leadership to ensure timely and accurate material support for production activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and document incoming parts, materials, and tooling in accordance with company procedures and approved documentation
  • Store, label, and organize inventory to ensure traceability and compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures
  • Issue parts and materials to mechanics and production personnel while maintaining accurate tracking and documentation
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and condition of materials prior to distribution
  • Maintain inventory records using company systems and assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits
  • Monitor for damaged, missing, or improperly stored parts and report discrepancies promptly
  • Support internal movement of materials between departments while maintaining documentation and control
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment and protect company property
  • Participate in safety programs and comply with OSHA and applicable safety standards
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and company vehicles as required
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by Leads or Senior Management

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous warehouse or inventory experience preferred; aviation or technical environment experience a plus
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with Microsoft Office and inventory systems preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to pass FAA-required drug and alcohol testing and background checks
  • Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting 10 to 25 lbs
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment and vehicles on airport and off-airport property
  • Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels, including engine shop and test cell areas
