Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Assistant Director of Research Integrity for the Office for Research. The Office for Research's mission is to support the research, scholarship, and creative endeavors of all Rutgers faculty. The Office accomplishes its mission by convening with academic and research leaders, providing integrated, user-focused resources, services, and tools, and partnering with faculty. As part of the Office for Research, this position will serve as a leader and manage day-to-day operations of the conflict-of-interest program, research misconduct cases and regulatory affairs. The Assistant Director Research Integrity will be responsible for coordinating university-wide policies and procedures to ensure Rutgers research complies with all research conduct laws and regulations.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Provides staff support for preliminary assessments, inquiries, and investigations of allegations of research misconduct.
- Coordinates meetings of inquiry committees and investigative panels.
- Coordinates forensic analyses and provide for confidential record retention when required.
- Keeps current with federal and local regulations.
- Communicates to the University community about policies regarding research misconduct.
- Provides support in training and compliance in research responsible conduct of research.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in the sciences or in a closely related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Five years of experience working in a research environment.

- A valid driver's license would be required for this position.

| Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Familiarity with research administration and responsible conduct of research, conflict of interest, and/or research misconduct.
- Experience in developing websites and databases.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communications.

- Advanced degree in the sciences or a terminal degree (MS, MPH) in a closely related field.
- Experience in leading research misconduct investigations and development of regulatory policy.
