The Manager of IT leads the internal IT services that support the entire DataBank organization. Reporting to the VP of Technical Operations within the Managed Services group, this role oversees end-user computing and core corporate IT platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows OS, and internal business applications) that support the business 24x7x365.

This leader is highly organized, customer-focused, and comfortable balancing day-to-day support needs with longer-term improvements. The role requires strong prioritization under deadline pressure and the ability to effectively manage staff and contractors across remote locations and time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead internal IT operations to ensure critical internal applications and systems remain reliable and available 24x7x365.
  • Manage and develop a distributed team (employees and contractors), including coaching, performance management, and day-to-day prioritization.
  • Own the IT budget for staffing, software, hardware, and vendors; manage vendor performance and contracts.
  • Oversee asset and lifecycle management for PCs, end-user tooling, and internal systems/applications.
  • Drive clear, proactive communication across the organization regarding IT changes, outages, improvements, and planned maintenance.
  • Define, track, and report KPIs for internal IT performance; provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Establish and improve operational discipline by reviewing/approving SOPs, documenting processes, and continuously improving workflows.
  • Support decision-making and special projects through ad-hoc analysis, cross-functional coordination, and technology recommendations.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners while consistently modeling DataBank values.
  • Provide input into technology roadmaps and upgrades that strengthen and modernize internal backend technologies.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years managing IT functions, including budgets and vendors.
  • 5+ years managing remote teams and supporting multiple locations.
  • 5+ years leading and delivering multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Windows OS, and Active Directory.
  • Strong critical thinking and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate calmly and effectively during high-pressure incidents and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; highly organized and self-motivated.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor team members.
