The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is seeking a Data Governance Analyst; this position will allow for full time telework from any U.S. based location

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Data Governance Analyst to support the Data Governance and Data Quality leadership team in the execution and ongoing operation of our enterprise Data Governance program. This role will play a key part in building, operationalizing, and scaling the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, including catalog configuration, workflow development, stewardship enablement, and governance content creation. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience launching or significantly enhancing a Data Governance Catalog using Collibra and is comfortable working cross-functionally with Data Stewards, Data Owners, technical teams, and business stakeholders.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the implementation and day-to-day operation of the enterprise Data Governance program, and contribute to the evolution of scalable governance operating models and stewardship practices.
  • Configure and maintain the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, including communities, domains, asset types, attributes, and relationships.
  • Develop and enhance Collibra workflows, forms, and approval processes to support governance use cases (e.g., data access requests, issue management, policy approvals).
  • Assist in launching and maturing a Data Governance Catalog, including metadata onboarding, business glossary development, and stewardship alignment.
  • Partner with Data Stewards and Data Owners to document data definitions, ownership, classifications, policies, and quality rules.
  • Create and maintain governance documentation, standards, training materials, and operating procedures.
  • Support metadata ingestion and lineage integration efforts with data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure, ETL tools).
  • Assist Data Quality leads in aligning governance artifacts with data quality rules, scorecards, and issue management processes.
  • Facilitate governance working sessions, steward onboarding, and user enablement workshops.
  • Track governance KPIs and adoption metrics and provide reporting to leadership.
  • Assist in managing governance backlog items and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Metadata Management.
  • Hands-on experience implementing or launching a Data Governance Catalog using Collibra at a prior organization.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring Collibra in a production environment, including custom asset models, lineage integrations, workflow automation, and form-based approvals.
  • Support metadata and governance practices that enable AI readiness, including data classification, lineage completeness, and integration of quality signals required for AI use cases.
  • Understanding of Data Governance frameworks, operating models, and stewardship concepts.
  • Familiarity with metadata management, data lineage, data classification, and data lifecycle management.
  • Experience collaborating with Data Stewards, Data Owners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and support operational governance activities.
  • US Citizenship is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide Collibra implementations or governance program expansions.
  • Experience integrating Collibra with data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, or enterprise ETL tools.
  • Familiarity with Collibra Data Quality (CDQ) and alignment between governance and data quality programs.
  • Experience building governance workflows for access management, issue management, policy management, and stewardship assignments.
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance drivers (e.g., data privacy, CUI, PII, GDPR).
  • Experience with workflow automation or scripting (e.g., SQL, Python, Groovy, REST APIs) to support metadata validation, governance automation, or reporting. Experience supporting unstructured data governance initiatives.
  • Prior experience in government, federal, or regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with Logical and Physical Data Modeling (LDM/PDM) concepts and ability to interpret data models to support governance, metadata management, and data quality rule definition.
  • Exposure to semantic modeling concepts including taxonomies, ontologies, and canonical data models.
  • Foundational knowledge of Knowledge Graphs, graph-based relationships, or RDF/OWL concepts, and how they support metadata management, lineage, and AI use cases.

Pay Range:Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
