Job Description

Foundry Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift
Location: Wickliffe, Ohio
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Foundry Maintenance Technician to join our 3rd shift team. This hands-on role requires minimal supervision and involves maintaining, repairing, and installing machinery and equipment across the foundry. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, technically skilled, and safety-conscious, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair critical machinery efficiently and correctly the first time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical: Troubleshoot, install, and repair electrical components, controllers (110-480V), and run conduit.

  • Machine Repair: Troubleshoot, install, and repair critical machinery including hydraulic, pneumatic, CNC, and mechanical systems. Ensure work is completed correctly and on schedule.

  • Pipefitting: Thread and install pipes of all sizes, including gas, air, copper, hazardous chemical lines, and materials such as stainless steel, Inconel, PVC, and CPVC.

  • Perform basic carpentry, painting, and masonry tasks.

  • Perform basic welding tasks as required.

  • Provide minor HVAC system repairs as needed.

  • Supervise and instruct lower-skill maintenance employees when necessary.

  • Follow all safety rules and regulations at all times.

  • Safely handle and accumulate hazardous waste.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications
  • In-depth experience in general maintenance of plant equipment.

  • Significant electrical and electronics experience.

  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and repair critical machinery.

  • General knowledge of HVAC and vacuum systems.

  • Physical ability to work in varying temperatures and environments.

  • Additional technical education or applied theory is beneficial.

  • Experience in foundry maintenance is required.

  • Must be able to climb and work at varying heights safely.
