We're excited to share that we're hiring for two Administrative Assistant roles in our Technology Department! Each position supports a different group of Leaders and offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact. - Enterprise Data Enablement
As an Administrative Assistant on the Enterprise Data Enablement Team, you'll play a key role in keeping a fastmoving, highimpact organization running smoothly while delivering legendary Customer Service. Supporting two Technology Directors, you'll orchestrate complex calendars, anticipate needs before they arise, and create structure that enables Leaders to operate at their very best. You'll manage core department processes, coordinate smaller projects, support Culturebuilding activities, maintain budgets, and build relationships across the organization to ensure seamless engagement. With strong organization, proactive problem solving, and a passion for helping Teams do their most meaningful work, you'll make a visible difference every day for our Leaders, our Technology Teams, and ultimately, the Customers and Employees Southwest serves.
- Technical Architecture & Solution Architecture
As an Administrative Assistant supporting the Technology Department, you'll provide legendary Customer Service while enabling two Directors-Technical Architecture and Solution Architecture-and their Teams of more than 100 Cohearts to work efficiently and stay focused on delivering Southwest's most critical technical designs. As the organization's sole administrative support, you'll manage complex calendars, coordinate major events, handle travel and communications, facilitate onboarding and offboarding, and keep daytoday operations organized and on schedule. You'll build strong relationships with stakeholders, anticipate needs, remove friction, and help maintain the exceptional Culture that allows this highperforming technical organization to thrive. In this pivotal role, your organization, professionalism, and proactive partnership will make a meaningful impact every day for our Technology Leaders and the Customers and Employees they serve.

Responsibilities
- Work under general supervision and may be assigned general projects
- Manage small scale department projects and cultural activities
- Support large event planning for the Department
- Review department and company news closely and understand them in relationship to their organization
- Write clear and concise responses to incoming email inquiries. Prepare communication on behalf of the Leader when directed
- Edit and review all written correspondence
- Submit expense reports and process payroll, as needed
- Prioritize calendars and schedule travel arrangements under direction of Leader(s)
- Organize and maintain all files, records, and other information
- Assist in compiling reports
- Serve as backup to Sr. Administrative Assistant(s)
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Skilled in a high level of customer service delivery
- Skilled in office management & department procedures
- Ability to proactively seek creative ways to perform tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Ability to meet confidentiality expectations regarding confidential, proprietary and sensitive Company information
- Ability to communicate professionally with Leaders and all internal & external Customers
- Ability to set priorities, multitask, and work with a sense of urgency
- Ability to use MS Applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to adapt to new technology applications and acquire new technical skills
- Knowledge of the mission, purpose, and vision of Southwest Airlines and their department Understands the different functions of the department
- Preferred: Knowledge of the following tools: Concur, Quickbase, and/or Ariba
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- Required: Intermediate level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in Administrative Support or Customer Service related fields
- Preferred: Knowledge of the following tools: Concur, Quickbase, and/or Ariba
Physical Abilities
- Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to lift and/or pull medium weight loads (approx. 25-50 lbs) on occasion
Other Qualifications
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
- Ability to work in an on-call environment and flexible work schedule to support the needs of the business as needed
Pay & Benefits
- Competitive market salary from $52,300 per year to $58,100 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
